Faith Hope & Cherrytea

Inspiring and Inspiriting …

Lady Reade’s Legacy :

Llanfaethlu is an unassuming but friendly little village in the furthest corner of Anglesey. It’s not somewhere you’d expect to find a place like this coffee house, but it’s a rare treat. It was apparently donated to the village by a lady of the manor in the 1890s. She wanted the villagers to socialise in a teetotal environment and so gave it to a trust with a 999 year lease. As well as the original coffee house it now serves as chipshop, community centre, shop and post office. What a splendid thing to give to a village…

like emily dickinson, i too “dwell in possibilities”

Faith Hope & Cherrytea – Welcome !

inspired by Lady Reade’s legacy left in Wales, i too wish to leave you, my readers, with a legacy. a rare treat you wouldn’t expect to find in this out of the way corner… like Lady Reade, i want us, the ‘villagers’, to socialise in this environment of faith, hope & cherrytea and find that it serves food for thought, offers friendly and hospitable community,  a cherrytea shop filled with treasures, and post office for inviting others to join us. i pray it will be seen as ‘a splendid thing to give’ to this village. . .

Welcome !
