Today I invite you to create some sacred space…

An invitation to stillness.  Rest.  Then to re-enter your day renewed.
Choose a quiet time and space where you will be undisturbed and undistracted.Be present to yourself and open to God’s Presence.*May the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heartbe acceptable in your Presence, ADONAI, my Rock and Redeemer.”Psalm 19.15 CJB

The Presence of GodAs I sit here, the beating of my heart, the ebb and flow of my breathing, the movements of my mindare all signs of God’s ongoing creation of me.I pause for a moment, and become awareof this presence of God within me.
*FreedomI ask for the graceto let go of my own concernsand be open to what God is asking of me,to let myself be guided and formed by my loving Creator.
*ConsciousnessIn the presence of my loving Creator,I look honestly at my feelings over the last day,the highs, the lows and the level ground. Can I see where the Lord has been present?

*The WordI take my time to read the Word of God, slowly, a few times, allowing myself to dwell on anything that strikes me.
*Today’s ReadingsJeremiah 31.7-14 | Psalm 147.12-20 | Ephesians 1.3-14 | John 1.1-18[When you are ready, return here to continue.]

ConversationRemembering that I am still in God’s Presence,I imagine Jesus himself standing or sitting beside me,and say whatever is on my mind, whatever is in my heart, speaking as one friend to another.*ConclusionGlory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit,As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be,World without end. Amen*For today’s #SONGSonSUNDAYSwe have the stunning prayer, LIGHT OF THE WORLD by Lauren DaigleBe. Blessed…*

  1. Thanks for sharing the invitation to pause and be close to God, something we modern people need to remember. Well, ancient peoples also needed reminding I am sure.
